"C" is for Cookie...

...and that's good enough for me!

Oh, cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C, C, C!

Hannah and Mary enjoying a delicious chocolate-chip cookie at Grandma's house. Yummy!

(Hannah isn't wearing a shirt because she gets chocolate EVERYWHERE whenever we let her have a cookie). We did make enough to send some to Craig and Jared (my brothers who are both on missions), but I don't know if that ended up happening. Those cookies were disappearing fast when we left. Maybe it was the cookie monster...

Hannah + Make-up = Love

Everyday, Hannah gets into my makeup. Everyday. I've given up trying to stop her, so I have just moved the stuff that she can open easily, like lipstick and powder, out of her reach. I guess I missed the powder though, because look what happened! It is kind of hard to see, but her white shirt is covered in beige facial powder. Nice.
Don't worry, she's rubbing it in with the make-up brush.

She loves make-up. She is seriously obsessed. Although, I have begun in just the past week to use it to my advantage. Now, I let her dig around in my make-up drawer while I do her hair. It works great, because she holds her little noggin nice and still, when used to throw a big fit.

Splish, Splash!

So, we would like to think that Hannah loves the splash park, but in reality, she only really LOVED it the very first time she ever went. Now she is so blasé about it; she's only entertained for about 10 minutes. After that, we have to kind of drag her back into the water. Which would explain why Tim and I always end up pretty wet at the end. Anyway, I think we should just give her a bath, because she likes that better anyway and it's less hazardous. "Hazardous?," you ask? Ah yes, hazardous indeed. Some precocious little 4 year old blasted me with one of the sideways water hydrants (its like a gigantic super-soaker). Needless to say, I was super-soaked. She and Tim about died laughing. The little rascal.

It was fun at first......but then she needed mommy...
...and daddy...

...and then no one would suffice... (Have you noticed that she doesn't look particularily happy in any of these pictures?)This face just screams, "Please take me home."
This face says, "Please take me home NOW!" (This is kind of a funny picture. She was standing against my very wet legs whining. It was such a magical moment; it had to be captured and shared for all to enjoy). :)
I hope we can go to the splash park everyday!

Goodbye J-Money!

Time does not stand still. My little brothers are growing up! Jared is now at the MTC, and in a few weeks he will be in Manchester, New Hampshire. Wow! I can't believe our little "shogie" is now "Elder Williams!"

All my bags are packed...

...(thanks to my mother and sisters)...

...I'm ready to go...

...and here I am reporting to the MTC! (Well, actually, this is a regular church building near the MTC. The MTC was being used for a Mission Presidents' Training Meeting.)

We will miss you Jared! You are going to be a great missionary!

A Girl Needs Her Dad

Happy Father's Day! Oh, yeah, that was about two months ago. But who cares? Can't we celebrate the people we love whenever we want? I think so. (Or, the reason could be that I possibly never got around to posting the pictures I took on Father's Day...) No matter.

Happy Father's Day 2008!
Father's Day 2007! (Not much has changed - they are still best friends.)

Fathers and daughters have a special relationship. It is so interesting that Hannah comes to Tim and I for different things (mommy for hugs, daddy for horsie rides), and at different times (mommy when she's tired or hurt, daddy when she's ready to party). But this I know: A girl needs her dad. Dads are special, especially Hannah's dad. She is lucky to have someone like my prince. Tim, you rock our castle!

Night at the Museum

Tonight we had fun going to the Museum of Natural History in downtown Mesa. It was open late tonight - exciting. :) It was Hannah's first time. Fun!
Stanton and Hannah with a big scary dinosaur.
This is a real fossil. (It said "please touch" - don't worry!) Have you ever seen a femur that large?
Tim and Hannah in jail. Of course, they are much too cute for that sort of thing.
Tim's dream come true - he's in a western. (He wants to be a cowboy. Secretly.) Watch out for the ferocious and feathered dinsosaurs!

Do I have a GREAT husband, or what?

Yesterday was my first day of my final internship (unpaid, of course). Well, in the month between when my classes ended and my start date, I worked myself into a bit of fit...I convinced myself that I didn't actually know anything (even after years of studying!), that everything was going to go wrong, et cetera. Well, when I got home yesterday, which happened to go just fine, by the way, this lovely sign greated me. (For those of you who may not know, "SLP" stands for speech-language pathologist, my future job title.) Well, needless to say, it certainly lifted my spirits. Thanks honey, for all your support. Thanks to all of our friends and family too!
P.S. I think this internship is going to be a really good experience. I'm excited!

Hannah's First Camping Trip!

So fun! We went to a little campground just north of Payson. We really were "roughing it" - no flushing toilets! It was a bit traumatic for me.

Here is the whole crew. We went with the Curry's, the Ashby's, and Robert's sister and brother-in-law (Tara & Adam).

The family in front of a really pretty lake up there. Mike tried to catch some fish but was unsuccessful. :(
Tim holding Hannah and helping Stanton. Hannah fell down and hit her little head pretty hard, so Tim pretty much carried her for the rest of the trip (which was only a few more hours).
The burglar after she bonked her conk. She is still just even so cute. She can't help that! Daddy and Hannah relaxing in the hammock that Tim got in Ecuador.

It was a fun trip. Although, it got a little colder than we anticipated, so even though we set up a tent and everything, we ended up "sleeping" in the back of the pathfinder. Tim was WAY too tall for that, so he didn't actually sleep. He got up at about 3 in the morning and went for a hike. But the good news is that, wouldn't you know, Hannah slept like a rock.
