Splash Park with Dad

It is so exciting for dad to have a day off work during the week. Finally, when Hannah wakes up, her eternal request for her dad can be granted! (EVERY single morning, the very first words that come out of her sweet little mouth are, "I want Daddy." Don't worry. It doesn't bother me at all - wink, wink).

Anyway, we decided to celebrate the day at the splash pad.

Now that Hannah is taking swim lessons and is becoming less afraid of the water, she realized it is FUN to get wet. She used to only run between the water fountains - not actually getting wet. Not so anymore. :)

To celebrate, we decorated Hannah's bike so we could walk/ride in the annual little neighborhood parade around Tim's parents' neighborhood.

Learning to Swim

Swim lessons have been a bit traumatic - we have them four mornings a week and every morning is the same story. Crying. A lot of crying. But then once we get there - she really does okay.

I can't believe my little girl is big enough to be learning to swim. Where does the time go?

Together Again!

My brothers are just under two years apart in age. So, what that means is that they just missed each other in terms of one getting home from his mission and the other one leaving. And when I saw "just missed," I mean, missed each other by about 4 weeks. Our whole family has not been together for four years.

Welcome Home Jared!

We are so excited to welcome home my awesome brother Jared (i.e. Elder Williams) from his mission in Manchester, New Hampshire.

The family with our signs crafted lovingly and cleverly by Mom. Apparently, New Englanders drop the "r" on words that actually have it, and add it to other words that don't. We learned this from some funny letters home about 90 degree "scorch-ah's" and "clam chow-ah." We also had a pretty good laugh about "Cana-der" (our neighbors to the north) and Gospel Principles lessons about Joseph and "Emm-er" Smith and the Great "Jehov-er." I told him I may not ever be able to move there because everyone would refer to my daughter as "Hann-er."

Mom drew a lighthouse, a lobster, and a maple leaf to represent the New England area. Jared served in the Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire.

My sister Laura was able to fly out for the big event.

Jared, we are so excited to have you home again! You are such a wonderful example of service and sacrifice. We are so proud of you and the kind of missionary you were. You are a great brother and friend. Love you!

A Good Hiding Spot

Hannah has loved peek-a-boo when she was a baby, and now that she is a little bit older, she LOVES hide and seek. Mostly, she just loves to be found. She doesn't quite understand that we shouldn't tell each other where we are going to hide...but that's okay. Her favorite new hiding place is a pretty good one. She thinks it is very clever.

Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day, Hannah and I made a special trip to the mall to pick out some new cologne for Tim. As soon as he got home from work that day, Hannah said, "Hey Dad! Guess what? Me and mom got you some new perfume from the perfume store!" Secrets are hard to keep if you are three years old. Tim said he was still excited to get his new "perfume."

Thanks for being such a great Daddy honey! Hannah and I are so lucky to have you. I wouldn't have anyone else! You're the best and we love you!
