What did you do on Valentine's Day?

First, we went to the zoo. I munched on our free bag of meerkat popcorn (courtesy of the Zoo for renewing our membership), while Tim and Hannah rode the Endangered Species Carousel.

They had a blast!

Then Tim and I went out together (by ourselves!!) while our awesome friends Robert and Kimberly watched Hannah for us. When we were at the movie (Marley & Me), we thought to ourselves, I wonder what Hannah is doing right now...

Now we know! It is always fun to explore our friends' toys. Thanks for sharing Stanton!

Manly Cupcakes

My brother Jared's 20th birthday is in a few days (the 8th), and I thought it was quite possible he would enjoy some homemade cupcakes. Then I thought, "oh, since I have some sweet new cake decorating skills, I should decorate them too" (if you know my brother, you would know that he would appreciate such things). Then I thought, "oh, I will just use some of the icing I have leftover from my cake class."

It was at this point I realized that perhaps a 20-year-old male wouldn't really love cupcakes with purple and coral flowers on them. Not exactly masculine. Oh well. I think they turned out pretty cute anyway.
Chances are, they probably won't look like this when he gets them, since they are going to Maine. Maybe they will look a bit more manly if they get a little squished...oh well, sorry Jared. I hope they taste good!

Ballerina

She is today! And what a beautiful one too!

Sorry it is sideways - but it was just so cute to see her spin around and around.
